- Suitable for all ages, semi educational.
- THIS DISK is not Freeware, it is Share ware, a try before you buy ideal
- which relies on the honesty of the user to pay a registration fee to
- the author if he keeps and uses a shareware program like this.
-
- This dos based program will also work in Windows 95 environment.
- Place it in the A:drive and 95 will give it two icons.
-
- DEALERS please note. This disk is shareware. In accordance with accepted
- practice only a copying fee can be charged.
-
- If you enjoy these stories please register with the author, details are
- on this disk and the authors address follows.
-
- TROUBLE SHOOTING ... if you have NO mouse on screen you can use
- TAB/ENTER. Pressing Tab moves you to each button or window in
- sequence. A fine hard to see dotted line will surround each item when
- Tab activates it. When this happens press enter. The button will then
- turn a page, activate sound and/or text, or allow you to scroll text
- in a window.
- If you do not have Sound Blaster or a compatible sound card then you
- may not get sound, for which reason 'sounds' have been kept to a minimum.
- Also sound uses a lot of memory and not everyone has 'lots of available'
- hard disk space.
- I have included splay.exe which may help your sound problems. Copy it
- from a: into your Austales directory
- ===============
- AUSTRALIAN TALES, MYTHS AND LEGENDS Volume 1 (the shareware disk not the
- freeware disk) contains over 50 pages ... ie this disk
- nine aboriginal stories, not just three or four. There is also a certain
- amount of scientific story telling, gleaned from encyclopedias etc.
- eg. the Creation of Planet Earth and Tanzia and its split into Gondwana Land
- and subsequently Australia, or comments from my own observations (read Author
- Note page 1). This 'book' contains some sound for amusement of young
- children. A Sound Card would be an advantage but is not essential to the
- stories.
- Dos based, vga, mouse or keys, buttons etc. suitable 5yrs upward if older
- person reads the story. There are pictures on nearly every page, all fifty
- odd of them. This is a 'proper book' not just a few pages. It is shareware.
-
- All these aboriginal myths and legends are educational and for all ages.
-
- Registration fee and how to register for all my shareware books is on
- the back pages of this book and easily accessed. Authors address follows.
-

- created and into which you de-archived the data from the disk you have

- Unlike version 1 it will not be shareware... same price etc as above.
- I have a collection of over 50 of stories to share with you.
- These stories are not just fairy stories. They are also in many ways a
- history of an ancient land and the aboriginal inhabitants who never
- developed a written language of any type and who never built a temple
- or a city or a permanent dwelling. Consequently all 'history' until the
- coming of the 'white' settlers was by means of stories, learned and passed
- to younger generations for thousands of years.
- SAME requirements, price US$22.50 etc international money order or Australian
- $22.50 cheque on Australian Bank or money order [full details as above].
